About the Role

The Associate Engineer – DevOps role focuses on enabling seamless collaboration between software development and IT operations teams. You’ll help automate, optimize, and maintain efficient software delivery pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance across United Airlines’ global systems.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure modernization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automation architectures for United Airlines’ platforms.
Troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues to ensure operational stability.
Participate in peer code reviews and promote DevOps best practices.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks for efficient deployments.
Work collaboratively in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
Analyze business, network, and security requirements to build scalable cloud solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a DevOps or Automation Engineer.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., NETCONF, RESTCONF, Netmiko).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Other Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in India (no visa sponsorship).
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
Experience with OpenText’s Operation Orchestration platform.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional global teams.
